Graduation 2009
Graduation 2009
By Olivia Oberndorf:

Many people say that your experiences in life shape who you are as a person. If this
is true, I’m going to turn out great because of the time I’ve spent at BARJ. BARJ isn’t
just an acronym; it’s an experience, an education, a way of life. The friends and great
times I’ve had the privilege to experience at BARJ mean the world to me. BARJ, as
cliché as it may sound, changed my life. It has made me a more open and social
person and opened me up to new experiences. Some of ‘said’ experiences were the
RAC trip and my volunteer work with BARJ. Those endeavors were so incredibly
enriching because they helped so many others as well as myself. BARJ really doesn’t
stand for Bergen Academy of Reform Judaism. In my heart, it stands for beneficial,
amazing, rapturous and joyful because those are the 4 things BARJ has been for me
over the past 5 years. I truly believe that my future life will be supremely enriched
because of BARJ.
